It turns out that most people don’t actually care that much about dice rolling apps, because tabletop gamers like rolling real dice. I sent out a survey to my friends, and I found the results quite interesting. So I had to start by asking around, to find out what people actually want out of their dice-rolling experience.
As nice as it would be to have my own app that does exactly what I want it to do, and as fun as it would be to design it, I’m a UX designer, and my job is to understand users with different needs than mine. But I wasn’t just going to design a whole app for myself and my one friend.
